Day in the Life

We are often asked, "What do Franciscans do?" and "What does it mean to be a Franciscan Sister?"

What is a
typical day like?

". . . let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven." - Matthew 5:16

5:00 a.m. Rise
5:35 a.m. Meditation
6:15 a.m. Morning Prayer
7:00 a.m. Mass
     *Breakfast
     *Work, errands, apostolates, ministries, etc.
12:00 Noon Prayer
      *Dinner
      *Short rest (if needed)
      *Continue work
      *Other activities could include music practice, exercise, study, correspondence, free time, etc

5:15 p.m. Eucharistic Holy Hour
5:45 p.m. Rosary
6:10 p.m. Evening Prayer
6:30 p.m. Supper
7:30 p.m. Recreation
8:15 p.m. Night Prayer - Rest in God (Grand Silence until breakfast)

Schedules for Mission Sisters and for young women and Sisters in formation will vary.
