Ministries

According to the original charism (to which we will always be faithful) of Mother Hyacintha, the Christian education of youth is our main apostolate. Mother Hyacintha and all of the Sisters recognize that each person we serve has a special dignity and deserves to be educated in the best possible way.

Our Mother Foundress not only taught her children the basics of education, she also taught them trades that they could use in life.

We strive to live this spirit through our work in Catholic schools, Faith Formation classes in diocesan parishes, Youth groups, Vacation Bible Schools, and in many other ways.

Of course, the best way to teach is through loving and firm Christian example!

Following our foundress, Mother Maria Hyacintha Zechner, the foundation of our consecrated lives is to be totally Franciscan. This is our identity. It takes a new “yes” every day to try to live in the spirit of St. Francis as beloved daughters of God and it takes a lifetime.

As consecrated women religious, we have ministered in education and evangelization according to the needs of the times for 300 years. We especially drawn to Theology of the Body and Healing.

In this light, we want to follow Jesus in the spirit of St. Francis and bring His Light to every person we encounter. We want to be the Face of Christ to people all around us. We want to become the Gospel.
